I really enjoyed this book think this is one of the top books that Liz has written each book is better than the last one and I for one cant wait for the next book to come out. This is the story about Berlin and Cole Fore me is the love story of the century and I couldn't put this book down its a fast pace and a page turner you cant go wrong with any book that Liz writes I don't always write a bunch about a book and how its written I don't want to give anything away but you cant go wrong at all.
This was such a fun book. The parallel to Beauty and the Beast was well done and each character was like someone you knew already. Well done!
Another great and adventurous romance.
This is the first Fuller story I’ve read. Loved it and now I’ll be reading the others,
Berlin Fuller is the youngest in her huge family, and the only one not married. Family gatherings are an exercise in torture. She's happy that they're all happy, but wonders when her turn will come. When her friends challenge her to a date of their choosing, she accepts, never dreaming that they will pair her with the much older police chief, Cole Fairbanks. Yes, he's handsome, and he makes her heart flutter, but does she really want someone who appears to want to run her life?Cole Fairbanks is new to his job, and feels the pressure to be a role model. Feeling pressure from his mother - who wants grandbabies - and his men, he accepts their challenge to go on 10 dates over the summer, or forfeit his bonus check. Are their any women in Brush Creek that can hold his interest? When Berlin approaches Cole to confess that her friends dared her to ask him out, will he take one look and bolt? Or, will he see his first of 10 dates looking back at him?As usual in a Liz Isaacson story, there is plenty of struggle as the pair falls for one another. From a horrid first date, to Berlin's fake hair color and fake eyelashes, almost everything that can goes wrong. Even their age gap is held against them by her family. Can they wade through the muck, to find the love they were meant for?A Catch for the Chief ties up the Fuller Family portion of the Brush Creek Brides quite nicely. I would recommend it for anyone who likes their romance sweet, fairly short, and with some sparkles of fun thrown in.I received this book from the author, but every opinion is mine!
I read this book in my KU account. I enjoyed reading this last book in the series about the Fuller family finding their HEA. This is about Berlin, the youngest of the Fuller family. She went away for a couple years to get her degree in accounting. When she comes back, she wants something different with her life Her friends take her to get her hair dyed, new makeup including fake eyelashes and a new outfit. They go to the fair and on the way make a bet with Berlin that she should ask a guy out for a date. The Chief of Police, Cole Fairbanks, doesn't date and is described as being "beastly" because he's gruff. His deputies make a bet with him that he has to go out on 10 dates in 2 months - either 10 different women or 10 dates with the same woman. Berlin's friends point her toward Cole and she tells him that he doesn't have to go out on a date that she just needed to ask him out but he decides that he does want to go out with her. Even though there's a pull between them, the first date doesn't turn out good. They eventually decide to try again for their second "first" date. Eventually, Cole's "beastly" side comes out as possessive even though he was just worried about Berlin. They have a hard time being away from each other. Will Berlin and Cole figure out a way to make this work by forgiving each other? I think this is a wonderful story and a great final story in this series. It also catches us up on what has happened with the rest of the siblings.
Cole Fairbanks is the Chief of Police in Brush Creek. He had always wanted to be a police. He had taken classes of all kinds even a FBI course and has rose up the ladder to finally be offered the position of Chief of Police 2 years ago in Brush Creek. He had a gruff demeanour that he used on the criminals and found it hard to separate it when he was around young ladies. But that is why he was at the festival with 2 of his officers as they had decided Cole, 37, needed a girlfriend and they were going to use it as a dare so if he didn't find someone and go on 10 dates he would have to feed all the force.Berlin Fuller, 27, the last single Fuller sibling was at the festival with 2 of her friends and they decided she needed a date so she too could marry and settle down. They agreed that she had to get the guy they pick out to ask her out or they were going to make her go on a dozen blind dates. They chose Cole. She was so upset as he was known not to date. But Berlin walked over and started flirting and finally told him about the bet and he agreed. Cole finally found someone that he actually felt something in him think was interesting.Cole picked Berlin up for their date on a Sunday afternoon in his police cruiser and took her to a crepe shop that was horrible and their date ended in less than an hour. They finally decide they would try a "do over" for their date and find they really do like each other, at least for awhile.Cole's demeanor changes while dating Berlin. But when Berlin breaks up with Cole he returns to his gruff self, barking out orders and being mean to everybody he was around. But with the Fuller siblings, nothing goes like it should but the story is full of twists and turns and is worth the read!!.
